For the ongoing series about the innovations in mobility, Freethink and Ford Motor Company partnered up on this profile of Bastrop, a small town in central Texas about 30 minutes east of Austin. Rather than being innovative in the areas of high tech this story was about a different kind of breakthrough: the city’s building and development codes. Not very interesting, right?

Wrong! What we found was a fascinating and inspiring story about community builders fighting to preserve and restore what has always made their hometown so special.”
